Mass Flow

Using mass flow principles of operation, Dakota's mass flow products are unaffected by temperature and pressure variations within stated limitations. Metered gases are divided into two laminar flow paths, one through the primary flow conduit, and the other through a capillary sensor tubes. The flow conduits ensure laminar flows and therefore the ratio of flow rates is constant.

When flow takes places, gas carries heat from upstream to downstream of two precision temperature sensing windings. A Wheatstone bridge is used to monitor temperature dependent resistance gradients on the sensor windings which is linearly proportional to the instantaneous rate of flow.
